Vouiàgi en Chino - Pierre Dominique Testa

This third work by Pierre Dominique Testa, after the three-volume novel "Fino e Cesar" published in 2007 and his doctoral thesis in Lengo d'Oc in December 2009, is this time not a fictional text, but an autobiographical text on a family trip to China and Tibet, where everything is scrupulously recounted. This long text is written in octosyllabic verses, in a rather monolithic form that suits these great versified epic texts.

The writing style is the one elaborated on the French model by Frédéric Mistral, a style that the author was imbued with from his childhood in the hills of Allauch, his village, and those of the great city of Phocé. The use of apheresis and elisions is one of the particularities of his writing which best restores the musical tone of the orality of the text, written in our sublime Langue d'Oc, in its variant the Provençal, spoken in the region of Marseille today in 2017.
