Roge - La Mal Coiffée (CD)
Since the beginning of the group, we have seen ourselves as a piece of the world, a fragment of culture, a vector of language. While human cultures are levelled by media power and societies are unravelling into digital solitudes, we strive to make bits of identity.
To tell ourselves ? It's to be indocilent. Thus, we hope to meet all those who thirst for particular stories, whether they are from here or there. Inspired by all those farmers who understood that they had to stay away from industry and big distribution if they wanted to feed the world properly, we try to stay away from the dominant cultural models.
Our language? It is the language of the beasts and the humble. It is at the same time the language of poetic reconquest of an indigenous thought, enjoyment and musical instrument.
This album is the first opus of a series of 3 discs.
La Mal Coiffée, is the Languedoc voice, intimately linked to the Occitan language, the voice of those who live, work, chat... in the open air: their polyphonic singing accompanied by percussion tells us, people living in Occitania, with our heritages, our particular stories.
They take the floor here, on texts by Laurent Cavalié, Claudi Alranq, David Grosclaude and Auguste Fourès, to sing their resistance to the "colonizers", whatever their faces.
Karine Berny (singing, bombo leguero, petadou) ;
Myriam Boisserie (singing, petadou, monochord) ;
Marie Coumes (singing) ;
Laëtitia Dutech (singing, adufe, bendir, tambourines, tambour, monochord) ;
Music : Laurent Cavalié, on texts by Claude Alranq, Jean Boudou, Laurent Cavalié, David Grosclaude and Auguste Fourès.
