Pichon borron - Ginou Jussel, Perrine Boyer

(Little bud)

There's a garden in front of my house.
A tree is planted there.
- When will I be covered in buds?
he asks himself.
Spring is here and the apricot tree in the garden is covered with buds, flowers and soon fruit...

The text, magnificently illustrated with linocuts by Perrine Boyer, is a sweet and pleasant poem.

Written by Ginou Jussel and illustrated by Perrine Boyer.
Translation into Provençal (classic spelling): Betty Allasio-David and Rémy Salamon.

Published by AELOc.

Book for children and schools:
The album in Provençal is aimed at nursery school and CP/CE1 classes just starting to learn the language. The vocabulary is simple, concrete and immediately reusable by pupils. The repetition of situations enables rapid acquisition of the interrogative structure, which can easily be transposed to other classroom situations and learning.

The evolution of the tree, from the appearance of the first buds to the harvesting of ripe fruit, allows us to tackle the themes of spring, the awakening of nature, flowering and the passage of time.

You can download a free sheet to help you create stamps with your children, a workshop suggested by the author of the album's engravings, Perrine Boyer.
