The author:

Jean Rigouste (1938), is an Occitan pedagogue and linguist specializing in toponymy. He taught modern literature at the lycées of Agen, Mérignac and Bergerac. He also worked at the IUFM d'Aquitaine and the University of Bordeaux III.
