Dijòus 22 de març.
"Dimarç de matin, auràs de monde au portau !" Foguèron lei darriers mots de Laurença avans de copar. Èri de menar la veitura quand lo telefonet esquilèt. Manquèri l’apèu. Vesent qu’aquò veniá de l’escòla, m’arrestèri per rapelar. "La mamà de Chereen venguèt au burèu per se lanhar. Auríás tirat lei trenas de la pichona tant fòrt que criguèt e qu’Annia, la mèstressa d’a costat deguèt intervenir !" (p. 9)

Jeudi 22 mars.
"Mardi matin, tu auras du monde au portail !" Ce sont les derniers mots que m’a dits Laurence, la directrice de l’école, avant de raccrocher. J’étais au volant quand le téléphone a sonné. J'ai raté l’appel. En voyant que ça venait de l’école je me suis arrêté et j'ai rappelé. "La maman de Chereen est venue se plaindre à mon bureau, tu lui aurais tiré les nattes si fort qu'elle a dû crier et que, Annie, la maîtresse de la classe d'à côté a dû intervenir !" (p. 8)
