"To begin again" in Occitan, a solo project based on old collections that Romain BAUDOIN makes dialogue with an acoustic hurdy-gurdy of 1930, on the principle of the "One Man Band".
Assuring hurdy-gurdy, string tambourines, harmonica, bells, podorythmics and tape recorder, Romain BAUDOIN presents himself his project: "There is in these patrimonial sources a way of apprehending the music which interests me because it is not copied on the current mass music too often tempered, binary, formatted and tonal. It is a perfect source of inspiration for a creative project. For a long time I have been listening to these collections more as artistic works than as ethnomusicological documents, I hear poetry, sensitivity, know-how and savoir-être... So I decided to play with the collected! I accompany them, I let them express themselves, I put myself at their service."
