Rèire-vida (backwardness) - Romieg Jumèu (Rémy Jumeau)

Organized in sequences most often dialogued, this short novel "baroque" is not a theater play, says the author. It features three main characters: Alcinda Fasti, known as "La Fasti", famous singer, Alexandre Tartaràs, a no less famous killer, and Salomon Carcanós, a police officer, who are surrounded by the household of La Fasti. From the funeral wing to the funeral, it is time to take stock of what we have lived ... What will be done, not without humor.

"D'aquest instant, Alcinda Fasti veniá d'intrar dins lo reiaume dei mòrts.
"Sensa que l'ereditat ò un gaubi particular l'aguèsse adobada a un tal exercici, se'n tirèt mai que ben. Subremontant leis efècts de l'apesantor e l'inconstància dei ventolets, prenguèt son auron, e après doas o tres evolucions au dessús dei jardins, s'entornèt dins sa cambra e s'anèt quilhar a la cima dau grand armari.
"Aquí, d'enaut de son ajocador, aviá una vista completa sus lo membre, e delà sus lei jardins, e delà encara sus la mar.
"I a ren coma d'aver defuntat per trobar la bòna distància a respect dei causas..."
