Quaranta tres - Felip Biu. A collection of short stories in occitan gascon. However, a triple question runs through these pages, sometimes obvious, sometimes more hidden, giving the collection a strong unity. Is man a free being, or subject to implacable destiny? Does life have meaning? Is there a transcendent that is perhaps watching us? Per Noste.

---
A man who thinks he's found a way to know his future, the ordinary day of a model mother, a mysterious star detected at the gates of the solar system: these are just some of the subjects of these seven fantastic tales, all very different from one another, which will take you on a journey through time and space to the frontiers of the worlds explored by mankind.
However, a triple question runs through these pages, sometimes obvious, sometimes more hidden, giving the collection a strong unity. Is man a free being, or subject to implacable destiny? Does life have meaning? Is there a transcendent that is perhaps watching us?
Do you dare, like the narrator of Quaranta tres, to set off in search of answers, without knowing what you'll find at the end of the road?
