La Halha - Boisson Divine (CD)

Boisson Divine is the musical project of two childhood friends, who met on the benches of the college, in a small rural village of the Gascogne Armagnacaise named Riscle. Their style is an improbable mix of everything the musicians like: a Heavy/Power Metal base, the energy of Punk-Rock, the traditional instruments of their region, the Pyrenean polyphony and all this, sung mostly in Occitan Gascon.

Over the years, without premeditating anything, they realize that they have accumulated enough compositions to release an album. So they set about the task and in 2013, released their first album "Enradigats". Against all odds -and especially their own- the critical success is at the rendezvous and the rave reviews multiply.
It is then that the requests for concerts are pouring in. Unable to perform live, due to a lack of musicians, the group will gradually remedy this problem. In two years the duo will become a sextet. They begin to make their first weapons, locally, in the Occitan-speaking environment - very fond of their linguistic approach - without however ever playing in front of a typical Metal public. Little by little, the stage side of the band's life became more and more important.

Their second album "Volentat" was released at the beginning of 2016, more mature and more researched. The reviews are even better than for the first one. This second album will be a turning point and will allow the band to finally play in the Metal scene all over France and Belgium, for very nice festivals (Ragnard Rock, Cernunnos, Sama'Rock, Trolls and Legends, Paris Metal France Festival...) alongside famous bands like Eluveitie, Arkona, The Hu, Saltatio Mortis, Finntroll, Faun, Heidevolk, Moonsorrow, Manegarm, Rotting Christ...
Locally, the recognition also comes. Thanks to the popular and traditional side, the songs of Boisson Divine are studied in bilingual French/Gascon schools by students, from kindergarten to college. In March 2019, the group will even perform on stage, acoustically, accompanied by more than 80 students, some compositions from their albums. Several polyphonic groups from Gascony, of all ages, also adopt Boisson Divine in their repertoire.

Playing on several boards and armed with an unfailing motivation, they release their third opus "La Halha" in 2020. An even more adult, personal album, with a wide range of influences and an even greater musical richness while remaining true to their roots, their catchy and catchy side.
La Halha (pronounced la Haille, with the H sound), is the great brazier, the solstice fire, from a multi-secular tradition, still perpetuated today in its Christian form (Halha de Nadau, Huec de la Sent Joan). The cover represents the Cross of Belio (or Abelion, an important god in Pyrenean mythology), the tomb of the old shepherd Milharis, according to legend.
This new 58 minutes record is even more epic, complex and worked than the previous ones, for a more serious atmosphere. Many surprises and new sounds while remaining faithful to the Boisson Divine style, very melodic and catchy.

La Halha is the album of the maturity for Boisson Divine which offers us an album of a great quality: dancing, epic, enjoyable. We can only advise you to listen to it, to dance on it, to have fun and to love life, it's clearly what this record inspires so let's do it !
