Los gavians del Morre Blanc - Jaumet Demèsa
(The gulls of Mourre Blanc)

On Easter vacation by the Etang de Thau, Gilles goes for a walk with his grandfather. He discovers two seagulls whose deaths seem suspicious: had they been poisoned?
Intrigued by this strange death, Gilles asks his grandfather about it and decides to explore the area with his little neighbor, Imran, a ten-year-old squid.
Gilles and Imran meet Aude, a winegrower's daughter, who joins them in their search: a true story of friendship between three young people, drawn into an ecological investigation whose solution will be found thanks to them.

Los gavians del Morre blanc is a work of children's literature celebrating the Etang de Thau and its biodiversity. For young people aged 10 and over, an investigation with ecological resonances.

Awarded a selection at the "Prèmi literari Calandreta".

English translation:
"- Imran, this time I won't make a mistake. We'll follow the bed of the Negue-Vaques, and climb towards its source. We'll have to wear beach shoes because, of course, we'll be wading through mud.
"On the sidewalk, the two children put the finishing touches to their outing for the following morning. Gilles didn't need anyone to wake him up early.
"Where are you going this early in the morning? Can't you stay in bed a little longer?
"Grandma Estela, in her kitchen, made no noise to let her grandson sleep, and then Gilles startled her with his 'Good morning, Grandma!
"- Imran and I are going for a bike ride."
